 PhD education 2018-2022 with main scientific basis Hotel Infinity (this name is given for LEPs home by LEPs PhD students since a lot of them have stayed there for free and made their scientific studies there).

Remark: The year 2018 was a dramatic year for LEP (then 74 years old) because
a) he got a very serious heart attack
b) he was unexpectedly divorced from Luleå University of Technology (the university of his heart in 43 years)
However,  also under these heavy conditions he continued to be very loyal to the university and finalized the following three PhDs during  this dramatic year 2018 with main basis his home Hotel Infinity where these students lived and studied:

1.Raya Akhmetkaliyeva 2018. Main direction of research: Partial Differential Equations. Current position:  Associate Professor in mathematics at Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan.
Title of PhD thesis: Coercive estimates for solutions of singular differential equations and their applications.

2.Guldarya Shambilova 2018. Main direction of research: Inequalities, Functional Analysis. Current position:  Associate Professor in mathemats at RUDN University, Moscow.
Title of PhD thesis: Some New Hardy-Type Inequalities on the Cone of Monotone Functions.

3.Serikbol Shaimardan 2018. Main direction of research : Inequalities in q-analysis. Current position: Associate Professor in mathematics at Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan.
Title of PhD thesis: Hardy-type Inequalities in Quantum Analysis.

Moreover, miraculously enough, with support of understanding friends, family and several universities around the world he could continue his remarkable successful PhD education as follows, now completely with Hotel Infinity as his main basis:

Remark: Professor Natasha Samko was the scientific main supervisor.

5. Andreas Seger 2020. Title of PhD thesis: Some New Contributions Related to Structural Problems in Engineering.  Current position: Researcher at UiT The Arctic University of Technology and SINTEF, Narvik branch.

6. Georgi Tutberidze 2021. Title of PhD thesis: A Study of Bounded Operators on Martingale Hardy Spaces  Current position: Researcher at The University of Georgia.

7. Harpal Singh  2021. Title of PhD thesis: Some new mathematical and engineering results connected to structural problems. Current position: Researcher at UiT The Arctic University of Norway

8. Tsitsino Tepnadze 2022. Title of PhD thesis: Approximation Properties of Cesaro Means of Vilenkin-Fourier Series Problems  Current position: Employed at an Imaging Processing Company in Germany.

9. Kristoffer Tangrand 2023. Title of PhD thesis: Some new Contributions to Neural Netwoeks and Wavelets with Applications.  Current position: Employed at SINTEF Community in Trondheim and part time at UiT The Arctic University of Norway..

Remark: This means that up to now LEP has been a supervisor for 71 persons with PhD exams and further 14 with Licentiate exams. And at the moment he is a supervisor for further 5 PhD students at four different universities
